Ian VanHeusen

Ian VanHeusen currently resides in Rochester, NY. Much of his experience is within the close knit community of Albany, NY where he shaped his poetry on the local poetry circuit. He is also a politically active anarchist & practicing Roman Catholic.

From the book:

Words are geographies
expanses rest in the sigh
of a letter
the changes              never as remote as the island
in a thought.

Deducing ideas from actions
less likely
to find anything worth its weight in syllables.

Through a vortex
Of discomfort          love expresses a displaced action
        To close to an epiphany
A breath slips through an hour glass, past midnight.

relative to a dynamic sequence
events merge
what happens far is coming
around / too near
for comfort. It is in your ear.
